I would have preferred to read English books. I like to imagine what or events in my head, and then maybe see a movie on this book. but when I read I can not quite understand the meaning of what I read. I really do not speak English
What does the author mean saying that "language is not to be taught, language is to be learnt”?
Language is the most powerful tool we have for reaching out to others. We can use it to express our feelings, to to share some information, to spread our ideas, and even to establish peace. Learning English is like learning to swim or play ball. We learn to swim by swimming, to play ball by playing ball and, respectively, to speak English by speaking English. Nobody can learn to swim for you as well as nobody can learn English for you. You have to learn it for yourself and you will try hard if you really want to. No one will be able to express your thoughts for you, no one will be able to manage your speech instead of you and no one will be able to express your feelings by words as you want to do it. So, that's why language is not to be taught, language is to be learnt.
2. In our time, we have many opportunities to speak English. We can use Skype. Now there are many different sites to communicate with foreigners. I have the ability to communicate with Americans. This is a very great experience for me and an opportunity to improve my knowledge.
